We are witnesses to a political revolution. In my lifetime, the two party system of the US has led to increasing polarization and alienation. People are born Democrats, spawn Democrats, die as Democrats and continue voting as Democrats. Most parents would be more accepting of a son coming out as gay than as a Republican.
Unable to form a third party, Trump is reshaping the old GOP into the new MAGA party, the party of the wealthy elites is being replaced with the party of the people. This upheaval has spun the grand old media into disarray; their smears and propaganda just aren’t working and their fitful arguments are becoming increasingly hysterical.
The people have learned to circumvent the ‘Trusted’ News Initiative and now listen to all of the upstart reporters, the Hofts, the Bannons, the Campbells, the Brands, the Kirsches the Olivers …
These are the new heroes armed with laptops, routers and IPs, making the internet mightier than the printing press.
