Let’s see the deaths and destitution of millions upon millions or the egomaniacal, aggrandizement of the few?
Somehow we have lost the idea of the ‘war to end all wars’ – perhaps it was when some bright, unethical neocon realized that, although building highly sophisticated weapons was ridiculously profitable, the profits stopped if the weapons just sat there accumulating dust. War was good and after all it’s only the deplorables that make sacrifices in distant lands. What a great business model, never-ending wars that keep the factories humming and the pay checks coming.
