Did I ever get things wrong! I was once a proud Canadian thinking naively that Canada was one of the best countries in the world and that I was fortunate, in the great lottery of life to be born here. Of even greater fortune I was born of parents who valued good education, ethics and hard work. The whole of Canada also seemed to support these values and had the natural resources and culture to provide the wealth needed to live in a cold northern country.
Canada, one of the most tolerant countries in the world: perhaps its greatest strength and also its greatest failing.
Now it seems that I have to be ashamed and atone for the misdeeds of people I never knew, people who stand accused of crimes that may have occurred, hypothetical crimes for which they can never excuse or defend themselves.
Why me? Why should I share this guilt? Is it because I have the same skin colour, the same gender, the same ethnicity? I thought we were getting beyond that?
Poor John A: use the word “savage” a few times and your life’s work is unredeemable, your statue painted red and pulled into the gutter, your head bounced off. I, myself, have been known to use a few verboten words like ‘East Indian’ and ‘oriental’, now apparently most racist, and to my great shame I have even ordered those little liquorice infants by what is now a hanging word. None of this was meant with any malice; in my defence I was just an innocent of the changing times. Will my life works (as pitiable as they are) be thrown on the fires in a a sanctimonious rage?
It seems that the residential schools are the guilt that keeps on giving. Most of the priests nuns and teachers are long gone and cannot defend themselves; the coroners and RCMP are reluctant to do forensic investigations to establish the victims and the perpetrators, even to identify if crimes have indeed occurred. The centuries old principle of habeas corpus has been suspended. No longer do we have to show the body, it is ‘Guilty!’ – and don’t even think of proving your innocence because this whole charade is working out really well with the self-loathing crowd.

For two years, Christian churches in Canada have been set ablaze. The reason? A story pushed by left-wing activists and the media claiming that scores of Indigenous children were buried on the land where these places of worship sat.
Churches have been burned in Alberta, Saskatchewan and Nova Scotia. Almost all were on indigenous land, destroyed, apparently, in response to deaths of the children who were removed from their families sent to the schools in a policy of forced assimilation
Was this story fact-checked before the media incited arsonists and unleashed them on churches? Absolutely not. After all, liberal democracy prioritizes emotion and violence over facts. Now, however, we know the entire two-year saga was a massive hoax thanks to two major excavations that found no evidence of buried children. The sad truth is that crazed left-wing animals torched at least 81 Christian churches, all based on a left-wing media lie. Meanwhile, the government, led by Trudeau, gave their seal of approval for these arsons by sitting back and watching it all unfold without doing anything to stop it.

But now we know, the whole thing was a hoax.
Canada didn’t have a “dark seedy” past for liberals to fuss over, so they concocted one. This way, the left could fuel division and incite destruction, all while armed with an “understandable” and “convenient” excuse. Sound familiar? It’s pretty much what they did with George Floyd, turning a convicted thug into a makeshift saint.

After two years of horror stories about the alleged mass graves of Indigenous children at residential schools across Canada, a series of recent excavations at suspected sites has turned up no human remains.
Some academics and politicians say it’s further evidence that the stories are unproven.
Minegoziibe Anishinabe, a group of indigenous people also known as Pine Creek First Nation, excavated 14 sites in the basement of Our Lady of Seven Sorrows Catholic Church near the Pine Creek Residential School in Manitoba during four weeks this summer.
The so-called “anomalies” were first detected using ground-penetrating radar, but on Aug. 18, Chief Derek Nepinak of remote Pine Creek Indian Reserve said no remains were found.
He also referred to the effort as the “initial excavation,” leading some who were skeptical of the original claims to think even more are planned.
“I don’t like to use the word hoax because it’s too strong but there are also too many falsehoods circulating about this issue with no evidence,” Jacques Rouillard, a professor emeritus in the Department of History at the Université de Montréal, told The Post Wednesday.
This latest revelation of a hoax deals another blow to the contrived “outrage” fueling left-wing activism. These activists aren’t in search of justice or rectifying past wrongs. Instead, they’re fixated on sowing division, causing destruction, and dismantling society. They crave a convenient “excuse” that allows them to wreak havoc while the rest of us sit back, watching them burn everything to the ground.
